Over the years, I stopped doing anything related to Valentines Day. The reason was because I never had a girlfriend to give gifts to and my Dad's and brother's advice about dating and how to cool/have swagger didn't help at all. This year I decided to just be myself instead of someone I'm not and buy a gift for a classmate in my fifth period. It didn't turn out so well because everyone was laughing at us and asking me questions or teasing me(I'm not a shy person, but I'm not talkative in school that much which makes everyone ask me stuff anytime I fell like voicing my opinion). My classmate was from Africa and nobody really talked to her in class so I was just trying to be nice and I was happy when she thanked me for the unexpected valentines card and teddy bear. And I also found out she was a fan of Skylanders as well and she asked me to draw a picture of us as portal masters with Spyro and Cynder. :3
All in all, I pretty much hated Valentines day, but I learned today that you don't have to be in a relationship to celebrate Valentines day, as long as you show your friends/loved ones that your care about them, thats the only thing that matters.
